My two favorite new bands are Larkin Poe and Robert Jon and The Wreck. RJ&TW have a great song called Blame It On the Whiskey with these lyrics: “All you do is lie. All you do is try to deny it. All you do is lie. Even when you know it just ain’t right.”*

That could be the theme song to the current Trump Administration, right? I mean the whole lot of them lie but there is one woman among them who took the lead in the The Spite House lying contest last week.

To set the stage, a few months back the head of our entire justice apparatus, Pam Bondi claimed on-the-record that the FBI was sitting on "thousands of hours" of video footage documenting the crimes committed on Jeffrey Epstein's island. Just days later our very own head of the entire FBI, Kash Patel said, also on-the-record,

"There's no video evidence.”

Well, I’ll be. Seemed like not everyone got the “hide the truth at all costs” memo that time around.

Remember, Kash Patel isn't some neutral observer. He's Trump's fixer. In fact he is on the Board of Directors for Trump Media & Technology Group., which owns Trump’s Truth Social. Kind of has a stake in keeping the boss’ image clean, right?

So now we have the sequel regarding Epstein’s lists. Bondi had them “on her desk” just a few months ago but now…they vanished into thin air. Here’s the rub. Every lawyer including Bondi knows one immutable truth: if you have evidence that helps your side you do everything in your power to get it seen.

So, if Trump’s name was not all over those Epstein lists (and make no mistake this involves underage women, alcohol, and married adult men) they would have printed those lists in gold binders and Trump would be selling them in signed limited editions for $500.00.

On top of that, no one in the history of earth has been more litigious than Donald Trump. He is the king of lawsuits. If Trump’s name wasn’t all over those lists he would have already sued Elon Musk for saying he is in the files along with suing every outlet that posted his photo with Epstein. The absence of Trump's legal actions speaks volumes.

Up until now lying hasn’t mattered because Trump knows truth doesn’t matter to his loyal Congressmen and legions. It doesn’t. Winning, power, sticking it to the libs, overturning anything that resembles a New Deal or civil/women’s/human rights program, that’s what matters.

However, they misread the room full

of conspiracy theorists. And that room is bursting. You can’t just say you have it and then the dog ate it. Not in the scannable computer age.

We continue to be played folks. This isn't about Epstein anymore. This is about how Trump's inner circle handles accountability. They lie one right after the other even if the lies, like either Bondi’s or Patel’s, are blatantly contradictory. They gaslight. They rewrite history in real-time. And the longer we allow this, the more dangerous this morally bankrupt administration will be.

So I hope, just like the GOP did when they were in the minority, the Dems open an investigation into the apparent destruction of evidence. I hope some of the victims from Epstein Island file lawsuits and then subpoena the Epstein files from the Department of Justice. And then take Pam Bondi‘s deposition, put her under oath, and see how far she is willing to perjure herself for her king. Maybe hook her up to a polygraph during it just for fun.

Because there has to be at least the start of a reckoning.
