Why The Bad Guys Win So Frequently

Trump and the Republicans continuously set things up in a way the Democrats are far too humane to even imagine. Think about this: Trump and Miller conspire to send heavily armed military-style vehicles into the streets of Los Angeles on a Saturday afternoon to randomly arrest people on the street knowing full well the people in this heavily Hispanic (80%) community will not simply stand around and take it.

But even if they did, the Republicans win. See if the people stood around and did nothing then that proves to the Republican regime that they can pull this off in any city without any pushback. If there is pushback, even the trivial minimal pushback that we saw in Los Angeles, then that gives the Republicans cover to suddenly send in the National Guard, arguably even the Marines if you believe Hegseth, or any other military style invasion into the streets of damn near any city near you.

See, they set it up so that either way they win. Meanwhile the Democrats are trying to save the courts’ ability to enforce their own orders and kids receiving SNAP from starving.

And on top of all that, the timing was impeccable. There are currently over 25 tanks and 50 military aircraft on their way to our nation’s capital along with God knows how many thousands of our armed forces. This is not just going to be a show of force; it’s going to be an invasion of our nation’s capital by a president who is hellbent on maintaining military-type control over anyone that dares to defy him or even just disagrees with him. Don’t believe me? Just ask any major university, major law firm, or anyone that has ever said no to this man about the way that he has reacted. So Trump is going to militarize the nation’s capital on the same day that we are all out peacefully protesting. So much for optics.

The second thing this military invasion of a Blue state did was change the narrative for the most watched news shows on Sunday morning. Instead of focusing on horrors in the big, bad budget bill or on Mr. Abrego Garcia or on Elon admitting how he controlled the election or on the insidious inflation we are seeing, the focus will be on whether Trump should use the military against United States citizens. Which is a topic unworthy of debate.

I sure hope good wins out in the end this time. But no guarantees when truly deplorable people control every lever of government.
