Seismic Musings

I was going to post today on the head of our nation’s deportation (some say kidnapping and torturing) department not having a clue what habeas corpus is. Or on the head of America’s health department withholding billions of Congressionally-designated grants for child care and blaming it on his department as though he has no say in what his department actually does.

I also thought about posting on the disastrous budget reconciliation bill and how so much of it has nothing to do with the budget. Or on Trump’s ridiculous assertion that our great country is just a big department store, that he alone owns the store, and he alone can set the prices.

But this relentless onslaught of absurd , unconstitutional, delusional, and downright evil coming from

Trump and the Republicans has got to be taking a toll on you, my friends, who are aware, informed, and have a soft spot for both America and all of its inhabitants.

Like me, you don’t have TDS; you have TIOS (Trump Induced Obscenity Syndrome). I literally have to engage in mental gymnastics most mornings not to use language my mom washed my mouth out with soap for in describing Donald Trump and the disasters he and his cronies are causing both here and abroad.

So, I am going to start a new tradition of Wellness Wednesdays because there has to be one day each week during this national nightmare to decompress and to remind ourselves how wonderful both life and you are. Below are some sayings to, hopefully, make you smile, help you breathe, and help you decompress. Because I care about you.

Finally, our first event is the No Kings (America is not a department store with Trump as the only shareholder) event on June 14. Please sign up and have your friends do so as well. Together we will take our country back.
