Who are we?

 

I’ll tell you who we are to the rest of the world. Just take a good look at the picture below.

 

A good look.

 

It is obvious that everyone to the right of Trump has distain for a Black leader of another country. It is obvious from their expressions that every one of these White men are hard-core racists who have taken the side of the plantation owners over the side of the people who were enslaved because one side was White and one side was Black.

 

So I don’t really care what percentage of the MAGA movement consists of hard-core racists. I suspect it is a very high percentage. But it doesn’t matter any more than the soldiers who fought for the Confederacy. They all helped create and fully supported hard-core racist leaders. And that is no different than being a hard-core racist yourself, not any more than the people standing on the sidewalks who cheered the military marches of a certain country during the 1930s.

 

And we all know that, where there are hard-core racists, there are hard-core anti-Semites and hard-core women haters. This is who you most of you people on the other side voted for and who you are sticking with, the ones in this picture who are the champions of White supremacy and not only for our country, but for the world. These are men who would’ve been wearing white hoods and burning crosses 100 years ago. And the vast majority of the MAGA crowd has no problem with that.

 

So again I ask, who are we? We are not the champions of equity or equality. We are not the champions of a free press. We are not the champions of fairness or free speech. We are not, with the ubiquitous gerrymandering and obscene amounts of money needed to be elected, the champions of democracy or democratic republics. What we are now in the eyes of the world are the champions for White supremacists and other bigots around the globe. And we are now, with the big beautiful bill, the champions for taking as much money as possible away from the poor and the working man/woman and putting it into the pockets of the wealthy.

 

If any of this sickens you or disgusts you, or you despise what people to the right of Trump in this photo represent about the worst of us, I encourage you to join Seismic Resistance, I encourage you to call every one of your representatives to rail against the morally reprehensible legislation currently in Congress, and if you live in Central Florida I encourage you to come out with us on June 14. 

 

This is not the America that we grew up in, that are Founding Fathers envisioned, or that our grandchildren deserve.
